Traversing along the historic Borland Road, the tour reaches the southern most tip of Lake Manapouri, deep in the Fiordland National Park. Discover the history of the area with your knowledgeable Kiwi guide. Borland Road is packed full of amazing sights and stories as it runs along the power lines fed by the Manapouri Power Station, deep in the Fiordland National Park.

You will also have the opportunity to explore short walks on foot, getting up close and personal with the native Fiordland forest. Take a selfie with some of New Zealand’s most spectacular flora and fauna, before parking up for a snack and lunch amidst the scenery.

Allow up to 6.5 hours for the tour. Bring sunblock, insect repellent, footwear appropriate for short walks (possibly in the mud) and clothing for rain and cold weather when at altitude (1000m+ above sea level).

  • Take up to 4 people, or give us a call or email if you have a larger group. Generally we can take groups of up to 10 people when booked in advance.
  • Departs Te Anau at 8.30am, pickups will be made prior to this.
  • Drop offs in Te Anau are between 4pm and 5pm.
