One of Fiordland’s most unique, exclusive experiences. Explore mountain tops, native Fiordland bush, breath-taking scenery, and the history of Fiordland on foot and by bike. An exclusive day trip packed full of photo opportunities you will never forget.
Departing Southern Lakes base on the shores of Lake Te Anau, you will fly south over the beautiful Waiau river. Flying over Lake Manapouri to the geological marvel, Mt Titiroa, which from a distance looks capped in snow during summer due to the unique white granite found around the summit. You will land here and get an up-close view of the beautiful rock formations found here and take in the breath-taking view from over 1700m above sea level. Our next stop will take you deeper in to Fiordland to a little know secret, Green Lake. The Green Lake hut sits at the end of a tussock covered shoreline. You and your guide will spend some time looking around here before departing on an easy 3 hour walk through native Fiordland bush and open tussock covered clearings before reaching Borland Road.
At this point your Wild Rides quality hard tail mountain bikes will be waiting. Embark on a ride which is packed full of amazing sights and stories as it runs along the power lines fed by the Manapouri Power Station deep in Fiordland National Park. Take a selfie with some of New Zealand’s most spectacular flora and fauna and enjoy your gourmet lunch at one of many spectacular sights along the way! When your ride is complete you will be transferred by our comfortable 4WD vehicle back to Te Anau.
Electric bike upgrades are available and for those who are keen mountain bikers we can transport your own bike.
